Out of many newly identified trekking trials, Machhapuchhre Model Trekking is one. The trail was identified and developed by Trekking Agencies Association of Nepal. Machhapuchhre Model Trekking encompasses seven major villages and holds immense potential for trekking and hiking activities. The trail offers mesmerizing views of mountain ranges and scenic beauty of streams, lush vegetation and indigenous lifestyles and culture of ethnic dwellers. This trial also hold importance in the context of road construction in the traditional Annapurna Region and can play as an alternate route to the same. The trekker may choose the length of trekking as per their convenience and time availability: from 3-8 days. There are two options for the trekkers choosing 7 nights and 8 days trekking this route.

Option I
This trekking starts from Pokhara to Ribhan village on day 01. Trekkers reach to Khumai on the second day, and return to Pokhara on the third day via korchung. The 07 - 08 days trekking encompasses beautiful villages of Lachok, Ribhan, Ghachok, Hile, Odane Hill, Chichimle Kharka, Khumai, Korchung, Pipar, Gibli, Takra, Imu, Kwiwan, Lwanghalel, Karuwa, Mardi pool, Dhipranga etc.
Itinerary
Day 01: Pokhara – Lachok – Ribhan
After breakfast we start our trekking from Pokhara to Ribhan village via Lachok. It takes about 04 to 05 hours easy walking, then overnight at camp.
Day 02: Ribhan – Odane Hill – Chichimle Kharka
This day we trek to Chichimle kharka. Experiencing the majestic views, rhododendron forest, beautiful villages, flora and funna, it takes six hours to trek from Ribhan to Chichimle via Odane Hill.
Day 03: Chichimle Kharka – Khumai
The trek starts from Chichimle kharka with gradual climbing the hill, most of the way to through untouched forest of oaks and rhododendron with occasional view of the Annapurna range. The village offers you a unique close-up view of Mount Annapurna South (7219m) , Fishtail, and Hiunchuli (6441m). Overnight at Camp.
Day 04: Khumai – Korchung – Kharka
Trail leads to Kharka via Korchung village from Khumai all the way of descends and flat through the Oak and Rhododendron Forest. Trekking time takes about 04 hours.
Day 05: Kharka – Gibli – Takra
This day we start our journey early in the morning to Tarka . After photographs and hot tea at Gibli, the trail leads to Tarka which winds through heavily forested areas of large rhododendron trees. Over night in Camp.
Day 06: Takra – Lwanghalel
From Tarka, an easy downhill walk through the villages with the ever present view of the central western and eastern Himalayas, a short steep descent brings you to the Lwanghael.
Day 07: Lwanghale – Mardi Pool
Lwanghale Trek to Mardi Pool , the route almost descending and flat through the bank of Mardi River and passes several villages and comes Mardi Pool. Overnight at Camp.
Day 08: Mardi Pool – Pokhara
Today will be our last day of the Machhapuchhre Model Trek. A half-day descent will bring us to Mardi Pool, from where we take the bus & transfer to Pokhara.
Option 2
This trail starts from Pokhara to Hile on the first day and proceeds to Khumai on the second day. It encompasses Korchung, Kharka, Pipar, Karuwa, Ghiprang, Gharchok and Mardipool Villages before concluding in Pokhara.

Team Membership
For the Machhapuchhre Model Trekking we will take minimum 2 trekkers and maximum of 20 trekkers.
Fitness and what to expect
We are travelling in high and remote terrain at moderately high altitudes. Members will best have a moderate level of fitness to enjoy the experience to its fullest. The trails are sometimes steep and a couple of the trek days quite long (about 6 hours). Weather can deteriorate and rain, strong winds and even some snow are possible. However we are travelling at a mild time of the year to best appreciate the surroundings.
Hotel
There are every category of accommodation facilities that range from the international standard star hotels to budget hotels and lodges; therefore the hotel reservation is not a difficult task. You can make reservation as per you budget. 'Himalayan Idol ' is ready to make any arrangement for you as per your wish, desire and budget.
Food
Food will be of the highest standard possible, given the remoteness of the situation. Please inform us if you have any special dietary requirements.
In the Machhapuchhre Model Trekking we will be dining in the Lodge.
