Annapurna Base Camp (ABC) trekking is moderate nature trekking but highly thrilling. The trek starts with a scenic 45 minutes drive from Pokhara to Phedi. The real hiking begins from Dhampus which takes your to the base camp of mount annapurna, one of the most magnificient peaks in the world. The trekking trail takes you through attractive traditional villages of Nepal’s ethnic communities of the Gurung, Magar, and Thakali who will greet you very warmly if you cared to stop for a conversation. They make you feel at home, even at such altitudes. The trek continues through intense rhododendron forest with towering snowy peaks in the background.
The Annapurna Base Camp (ABC) trek will be more interesting in Spring season and Autumn season as the whole forest along the trail turns red, pink and white with rhododendron flowers. The highlight of this trip is trekking into the Annapurna Sanctuary where your have spectacular views of mount Fishtail , Annapurna South, Fang, Gangapurna and the nearly vertical south face of Annapurna I.

Day 01 : Arrival in Kathmandu
Arrive at Kathmandu where you will meet trekking guide for the trip. Trekking guide will brief about Annapurna Base Camp Trek route and other requirements.
Day 02 : Kathmandu valley sightseeing.
After having breakfast, your day will start with our guided tour of Kathmandu valley which includes world heritage sites 1) Swoyambhunath or the Monkey Temple, 2) Pashupatinath temple(the famous Hindu Temple), 3) Patan Durbar Square and finally the Kathmandu Durbar Square.
Day 03 : Drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara
After morning breakfast in the hotel, the tour starts with the scenic view of beautiful hills, countryside lifestyle driving along the Trishuli River. Overnight at lodge in Pokhara lakeside.
Day 04 : Drive from Pokhara to Phedi and start trek to Deurali.
From Pokhara it takes about 45 minutes driving. Then hike up to Dhampus village. In the evening you will overnight at a lodge in Deurali with magnificient views of annapurna range and lamjung himal.
Day 05 : Trek from Deurali to Chomrong.
The trek starts from Deurali with gradual climbing the hill, most of the way to through untouched forest of oaks and rhododendron with occasional view of the Annapurna range.. Chomrong is the junction of all the trails leading to the Annapurna Sanctuary. The village offers you a unique close-up view of Mount Annapurna South (7219m) and Hiunchuli (6441m). Overnight at lodge.
Day 06: Trek from Chomrong to Dovan
From Chomrong village the trek goes ahead to the terraced farm fields as you descent to the river. After crossing Chomrong Khola, you will climb to Sinua for launch. The trail passes through thick forest with a variety of lush plants, reach Dovan for overnight.
Day 07: Trek from Dovan to Machhapuchre Base Camp (MBC).
After morning breakfast, the trail leads along the left bank of the Modi Khola, passing dangerous avalanche areas such as Hinko Cave. We walk thought forests, across waterfalls and rivers and see the most magnificent scenery in the Annapurna region. Overnight at MBC.
Day 08 : Trek from MBC to Annapurna Base Camp (ABC), then back to Himalaya.
Today’s trail leads you in the heart of the Sanctuary at the Annapurna base camp. Wake up early to watch the beautiful sunrise in the amphitheater of the Annapurna Sanctuary. Trekkers get the most magnificent mountain panorama of Mount Hiunchuli, Annapurna South, Fang, Annapurna I, Khangshar Kang, Glacier Dome, Tent Peak, Gangapurna, and Machapuchare. After the highly thrilling trek trek back to Himalaya for overnight.
Day 09: Trek from Himalaya to Chomrong.
Today is an easy walk of 2 - 3 hours in the morning to the lunch spot at Kuldi Ghar or Sinua. After lunch we descend to the Chomrong Khola and then climb up through lower Chomrong to our lodge .
Day 10 : Trek from Chomrong village to Ghandruk Village.
From chomrong village, the trail leads to the beautiful village of Annapurna region. Ghandruk village is the model village from where we can view the panorama of annapurna range. In the evening you'll stay at a lodge with incredible views of the Annapurna range and the Lamjung Himal.
Day 11 : Trek form Ghandruk to Nayapool, then drive to Pokhara.
From Ghandruk, an easy downhill walk through the villages with the ever present view of the central western and eastern Himalayas, a short steep descent brings you to the Nayapool. From Nayapool an hour drive brings you back to Pokhara.
Day 12: Drive from Pokhara to Kathmandu
After half day sightseeing in Pokhara including Phewa lake, Barahi, Davis Falls, Gupteshwori we drive 6 hours from Pokhara. Enjoy the scenic countryside and the drive along the Trisuli River.
Day 13: Final departure day or join other adventure activities.
Team Membership
For the Annapurna Base Camp Trekking we will take minimum 2 trekkers and maximum of 20 trekkers.
Fitness and what to expect
We are travelling in high and remote terrain at moderately high altitudes. Members will best have a moderate level of fitness to enjoy the experience to its fullest. The trails are sometimes steep and a couple of the trek days quite long (about 6 hours). Weather can deteriorate and rain, strong winds and even some snow are possible. However we are travelling at a mild time of the year to best appreciate the surroundings.
Hotel
There are every category of accommodation facilities that range from the international standard star hotels to budget hotels and lodges; therefore the hotel reservation is not a difficult task. You can make reservation as per you budget. 'Himalayan Idol ' is ready to make any arrangement for you as per your wish, desire and budget.
Food
Food will be of the highest standard possible, given the remoteness of the situation. Please inform us if you have any special dietary requirements.
In the Annapurna Base Camp Trekking we will be dining in the Lodge.
