Ratnanagar Festival begins

with the aim of promoting internal tourism, The The Ratnanagar Festival commenced from Monday, jan 11 2010 at Tikauli of Chitwan District. the small town is decorated with dozens welcome gates. Tikauli is blooming with different color of festival programmes. The festival is jointly organized by Ratnanagar Municipality and Ratnagar Chamber of Industry and Commerce.

The festival has 391 stalls and the organizers hoped that more than 200,000 visitors will visit the festival.

According to the member of the organizing committee, similar festival last year was hugely successful in increasing the financial transaction of the city.

The festival has a special package program for agriculture promotion which has 81 stalls, according to program co-ordinator Rajendra Shrestha.

The festival also offers special package tours of various tourist destinations in the district.
